COVID-19, a novel disease but deadly nonetheless, has become a global phenomenon affecting and claiming millions of lives. Thus, this study aimed to determine the experiences of COVID-19 survivors, exploring measures done to have a better prognosis. A Phenomenological study was conducted in Pampanga. A purposeful sample of 5 COVID-19 survivors was selected to gather data using interviews. The data collected has undergone narrative analysis. Along with a detailed account of the survivor’s experience, comparison and contrast with previous hospitalizations were also extracted. Factors that may have contributed to recovery, negative experiences, and their opinion of what the HCT and the HCF could have done to improve the patient’s ordeal were also tackled. COVID-19 survivors underwent various changes in all aspects of life, including physical, psychological, and social changes. Survivors cited prioritization of established treatment augmented with other helpful treatments, spiritual nourishment, communication with loved ones, improvement of public knowledge, and improved empathy of HCT to patients, among others, as factors that helped them through a difficult time in their life.
