In order to meet the challenges posed by the new pattern of globalisation, which has led to a greater integration of national and international markets, the corporate sector all over the world is reorganising its operations through inorganic growth with various types of consolidation strategies like mergers and acquisitions. This process is taking place through inorganic growth with different types of consolidation strategies. The majority of corporate restructurings take the form of mergers and acquisitions. In the course of the past twenty years, topics concerning mergers and acquisitions (M&A) have attracted a significant amount of interest from both practitioners and academia. There is a substantial body of literature pertaining to industrialised economies; however, there is not nearly as much research conducted in India.
