The main thrust of the study was to investigate and portray the program of study experiences and employment outcomes of BSN graduates from 2017 to 2019. A validated questionnaire-based descriptive method was employed, using simple random sampling to gather relevant data from 88 respondents. Data were analyzed and interpreted with the aid of descriptive statistics.
Findings revealed that most respondents were mid-20s, female, and single. Their choice of school was influenced by its holistic education and adequate learning resources. They found the program highly satisfying, particularly in learning approaches and guidance. The program’s strength in employment readiness led to a notable employment rate, with most graduates securing jobs within six months, primarily in the government sector, in non-permanent positions lasting over a year. Graduates recognized their high competencies in nursing procedures and modern learning tools as valuable in their jobs. Institutional values of respect, competence, and integrity greatly influenced their educational journey at NDJC.
The study concluded that graduates were satisfied with their education, which led to positive employment outcomes. Areas such as grading systems, book availability, communication skills, teacher experience, and leadership were identified as needing improvement to better support students.
