The purpose of leadership qualities and approaches is to persuade others to pursue a common objective. A leader’s manner of giving instructions, carrying out strategies, and inspiring followers is referred to as their leadership attributes and style. Leaders in politics, business, and education, in particular, display a wide range of leadership attributes and styles. This quantitative study aimed to evaluate influence of female middle managers’ leadership traits and style in the higher educational institution at national capital region. Data were gathered using the Leadership traits and style Questionnaire (MLQ) by Bass and Avolio to describe the leadership traits and style of female middle managers. Further, most of the respondents were department chair, program coordinator and associate dean/vice dean they were selected using the purposive sampling technique. The study revealed that female middle managers exhibit strengths in transformational leadership traits such as idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration. These leaders demonstrate the ability to instill pride, articulate a compelling vision, and foster an environment of intellectual growth and individual development. However, certain transactional leadership aspects, particularly passive management-by-exception, indicate room for improvement, suggesting a need for greater proactive engagement in addressing issues and providing direction. This study contributes valuable insights to the discourse on female middle managers’ leadership style and traits and educational policy offering actionable implication for fostering career readiness.
