ASSESSING USER EXPERIENCE OF LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR LIBERAL ARTS AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS: IMPLICATIONS FOR HYBRID LEARNING

The present study examined user experience of students in Liberal Arts and Education programs about their use of their learning management system – which, in this context, refers to the Google Workspace Suite for Education. The evaluation used aspects of the ISO/IEC 25010 standard for software quality evaluation model. Respondents of the study included 103 students coming from Liberal Arts and Education programs in a university college department. Results of the survey showed that the students find their LMS very useful in terms of Security, Usability, and Portability. This indicates that their experience of the LMS is very positive in its flexibility and protection of private information, thus giving them confidence in their online learning platform. Insights from this study are given weight in the context of the forthcoming implementation of Hybrid-Flexible learning setup in the Philippine higher education sector.
