This research explores the imperative of fostering a culture of innovation at La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) to prepare graduates for the evolving demands of the 21st century. Acknowledging the university’s historical commitment to academic excellence, the study identifies the necessity for innovation as a response to global competitive pressures and technological advancements. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research assesses the current state of innovation at LCUP through quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with key informants. The findings reveal a generally positive perception of the innovation culture, characterized by good attitudes towards innovation and collaboration, yet highlight significant barriers, including risk aversion and resource constraints. The study culminates in the development of an Eidetic Model designed to guide LCUP in cultivating a robust innovation culture, emphasizing the importance of recognition, support, and a willingness to embrace uncertainty. This model serves as a strategic framework for transforming the university’s environment into one that nurtures creativity and entrepreneurial thinking, ultimately equipping graduates to become effective change agents in a dynamic world.
